We hosted the Lawn Program in the International Village Sunday, June 18th, from 11 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with entertainment from 2:00 till about 3:15 or 3:30. There was dancing and music and something for all ages.

We were delighted that the brilliant builders from the San Diego Lego Users’ Group  joined us with their fabulous displays. It is absolutely amazing what these folks can do with a bunch of legos.

Also: Live music with Singer and Entertainer Niels Lund who was accompanied by Dan Nielsen and as always  a special performance of folk music and story telling skits.

We were also joined by our fearless friends from the Viking reenactment troup with their highly entertaining and authentic presentation of the old Viking culture.

 we served a Danish meal from the Cottage so visitors could get a chance to sample our cuisine. And as always there was plenty of æbleskiver.

The bbq was sizzling, and Danes took to the stage in front of the audience. We always try to schedule our lawn program as close to Constitution Day as we can.

Grundlovsdag or Constitution Day in Denmark is celebrated on June 5th every year. The signing of the constitution established Denmark as a constitutional monarchy. This holiday commemorates the signing of the Danish Constitution on June 5, 1849 .One hundred and forty nine years ago.. It was a festive afternoon!
